Our MISSION
Virginia Beach Fallen Heroes (VBFH) is a all-volunteer group from Virginia Beach, VA and the surrounding communities. VBFH members have come together to dedicate their time and efforts to raise money for the families of our fallen heroes.

On August 6, 2011, an elite team of SEALs, Army Special Operations aviators and a service dog were aboard a Chinook helicopter – call sign Extortion 1 7 – was shot down in Afghanistan while on a mission to rescue U.S. troops pinned down in combat. All 38 men aboard and the frog dog were killed.

This tragedy rocked the local Naval Special Warfare group and community prompting the formation of a group to raise money for immediate family support. In just FIVE weeks VBFH put on its first event.

The VBFH is proud to have teamed up with the UDT/SEAL Foundation and the National Navy SEAL Museum to raise money to help the SEALS and their families. We have donated money directly to the families of fallen heroes, Spike’s K9 Fund to buy a vest and pay medical bills for a Virginia Beach Police K9 Officer, to SEALKIDS, Inc. to help families that need educational assistance and Frog Dogs, a training facility in Chesapeake for war and service dogs.

We understand that unfortunate events happened to the brave heroes who unselfishly defend our freedoms. Their sacrifices sometimes come at the cost of their very lives; this is a small way of honoring them by contributing to their families’ well- being.

Our mission is to provide support and assistance to Virginia Beach Naval Special Warfare, Special Boat Operators, and support personnel. We have expanded our charter to include local Virginia Beach First Responders, Virginia Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad, and all Military branches that put their lives on the line for us.
